Indoor Hydroponics Systems

There are essentially only two places you can grow hydroponics, outdoors and indoors. Both have their advantages and disadvantages that I will discuss here.

An indoor hydroponics system is completely independent of any outside factors and thus can lead to extremely high growth rates and quicker crop turn around.
Building an indoor hydroponics system can be as simple as a kitchen side herb garden to an advanced closet hydroponic system. When using indoor hydroponics there are a few things that you need to be aware of. These are.
  • Make sure you have an installed vent fan to remove excess heat and improve air circulation
  • Keep your HID (high intensity discharge lamp) at least 24" away from all surfaces due to heat
These are the two main factors that you need to take into account when designing an indoor system.
Indoor Hydroponics can be extremely fun and a valuable asset to any home.  Some reasons why indoor hydroponics are used are.
  • Saves and makes use of space
  • Very fast growth and excellent herb, fruit and vegetable crops
  • Fresh herbs and lettuce as you need it
  • Hobbies
  • Make some extra income
As you can see hydroponic gardening can certainly appeal to alot of people and can be a very fun hobby to take up.  It does not usually cost much to start a hydroponics garden and more often then not you can teach yourself how to setup a successfull indoor hydroponics system.
My personal favorite systems for indoor hydroponics are the aeroponics systems. Aeroponics is a more recent breakthrough in hydroponics and promotes some of the fastest growth I have ever seen. Actually I am that big a fan of aeroponics I have devoted an entire section of my site to Aeroponics.
